Dellamorte's 2010 Favourites - White Mix by Dellamorte on Mixcloud

Seventeen

Hey kids, this weekend's show on Spiritplants will be number sixteen! This week's show is the usual mix of dub, techno, soul, hip-hop, breaks, electro, house and dubstep, quite a few oldies in there, including some very overlooked oldies and maybe one or two favourites in amongst the fresh musical mayhem.

Saturday night 1am and Sunday morning 11am (GMT) this weekend, over HERE

See you in the chat!

Hello my lovely friends!

I’m doing a special show on Spiritplants Radio this weekend – In fact a dubstep special. You may (or indeed, may not) be aware of the widening gap between the ‘old school’ dubstep heads, and the new generation who like their dubsteps harsh, raspy and aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Being a non-commital easy-going kind of DJ genius, I thought it might be interesting to create some kind of journey back and forth between the rave-influenced stuff and the more atmospheric joints. So it will be debuting tomorrow (15th Jan) – check the station schedules for times. Be warned, there is a strong 70’s rock influence, oddly.

The massive three part Tunes of 2010 mix is 40% done now. It will drop before the end of Jan, I imagine.

Coming Soon

Hi there kids!!

Well, I sincerely hope you all had an excellent festive season and are sticking to your new year’s resolutions. My resolution was to bring you even more awesome music in 2011, and I’m just popping in to tell you how I’m planning to do this over the next few weeks.

Firstly, my show on Spiritplants Radio returns this weekend! The station took a break from new shows from 12th December onwards but this weekend returns with a weekend of excellent content. Show times will be up on the front page of the station in the next couple of days, but in the meantime you can always pop over to the archives and stream/download some shows you might have missed!

Secondly, I am in the middle of an epic trilogy of mixes to document the great music from the year that was 2010. I’m not one of these people who starts their end-of-year lists in September (what if my favourite tune of the year came out in the very last week of the year, for instance?) so I’ll be dropping each one of the three mixes in January. I have (finally) set up a Soundcloud account to host them on too.

Anyway, promised content to arrive soon as! Stay seated for the moment.

To the hip hip hop, ya don't stop

What the picture says is true! Real hip-hop is never on the radio. Well, today it is - and for episode 12 of the Disco Dichotomy show I have a whole hour of real, intelligent, enlightening and always funky-as-a-mosquito's-tweeter hip-hop for you.

So if you've ever wanted to pull off a backspin, cut up a break or spit 16 bars of heat, or are just curious as to whether you'll find something you like - head over to www.spfradio.yage.net at 10.30pm tonight GMT - and again on Sunday 12 noon, and I'll see what I can do for you :)
